James "Jay" F. Crowley III of Marshfield passed away from a long illness on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. Jay was born February 19, 1960, in Halifax, MA, and grew up in Pembroke, MA. He moved to Marshfield, MA to help run Airport Subs and Pizza with his family in 1978. He was the son of the late James F. Crowley Jr. and Joan Crowley (Barrett) of Marshfield, and the brother of Patricia "Pat" Crowley of Marshfield and the late Mary Ellen Crowley of Waldoboro, Maine. He is survived by his sister, Pat, and nephew Michael Crowley of Marshfield, and numerous cousins. Jay enjoyed watching sports, old movies, and classic TV shows, such as the Three Stooges and All in The Family, and often listened to old radio shows, such as Jack Benny. He loved animals and bird watching.

In accordance with his wishes, Jay will be cremated through arrangements by MacDonald Funeral Home and Cremation Care Services of Marshfield. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter, zoo, or Audubon society.
