Flannery, James J., of Marshfield, passed away on May 31, 2016 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Nancy L. Flannery and loving father of Donna St. Martin and her husband Paul, Christine Keup and her husband Mark, Elizabeth Phillips and her husband Judah, and James Flannery Jr. James leaves his dear grandchildren Justin, Emily, Jillee, Ally, Lilah, Jake, Brad, Elizabeth, Nathan, Erika, Joshua, and Ryan; his sister Dorothy Jones, and many nieces and nephews.

James was born in Boston to the late Joseph and Madeline (Fry) Flannery. He proudly served our country in the National Guard and was also a member of the South Shore Wood Turners. James was employed as a Machinist for the Gillette Company. He loved the outdoors, particularly being in his garden; he also enjoyed playing golf, kayaking, and long walks on the beach.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. Funeral from the funeral home Monday, June 6 at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass to be held at St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Interment will be in Couch Cemetery.
