James F. Horan III 64, of Duxbury March 10, 2015. Beloved husband of Cynthia "Cindy" (Rigel) Horan. Loving father of Ryan Marie Horan of Brockton and Isabella ("Ivy") Horan of Duxbury. Grandfather of Michael James Horan. Son of the late James F. Jr. and Isabella C. (Finn) Horan. Brother of Paul Horan of Highland Beach, FL and Mary Ann Horan of Wilbraham, MA. and Maui, HI.

James, known as Jay to his friends and associates, was born in Boston and raised in Weymouth, MA. He attended Archbishop Williams High School and went on to graduate from Merrimack College and Suffolk Law School. James was and attorney in the Boston area for many years and was very active in the legal community. He gave generously of his time and services, often doing pro bono work. Though he was retired at the time of his death, James continued to remain close to his colleagues and lifelong friends.

Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Sunday, March 15, 2015 from 1 to 5 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont St. in Duxbury at 11:00a.m. Interment will be in the Fairmount Cemetery Weymouth at a later date.
