James P. Kimmett
November 29, 1983 – February 13, 2025
James P. Kimmett, an Army veteran, passed away suddenly at South Shore Hospital on February 13, 2025.
Son of the late Patrick Kimmett and the late Denise Kimmett, James is survived by his mother, Melanie White of Pembroke, MA. He was a loving father to his two children, James and Lillia, and a cherished brother to Crystal Bonanno and her husband Daniel, Kyle Kimmett and his wife Stacey, Charles Kimmett, Alisha Kimmett, Danielle White, Dennis White, and Guy H. Parent. He is also survived by his beloved nephews, Stanly and Randy Saniuk, and Patrick Kimmett.
Throughout his life, James embraced many careers, always eager to learn and take on new challenges. Most recently, he worked at Overhead Door Company, where he thrived in learning the trade of garage doors. A natural with anything mechanical, he loved working with his hands. He was also an avid Jeep enthusiast, a passion inspired by his stepfather, Dennis White (affectionately known as "Papa").
James was kind, adaptable, dedicated, and hardworking. He had a generous spirit and a knack for finding humor in any situation. He was always willing to lend a hand, no task was too big for him. He was adventurous and loved hopping in the car, turning up the music, and setting off on a drive—often to the ocean—or watching fireworks. He could spend hours chatting, making people feel heard and valued. Above all, he loved his family unconditionally and was a constant source of comfort and support to those around him.
Please join us in celebrating James's life and the many good memories he leaves behind. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and will conclude with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
