James T.F. Mullowney. 77, of Marshfield, formerly of Belmont and Brookline, passed peacefully on April 24, 2016. Loving husband of 54 years to Carol (Shaw), proud father of Lacey Mullowney and partner Cherie Ballard of Austin, TX, James T.F. Mullowney, Jr. and wife Michele Mullowney of Newport, RI, Patricia McDonough and husband Patrick of Stoneham, Edward Mullowney and wife Maura of Belmont, Jean Morris and husband Michael of Walpole. Adoring grandfather of Erin McDonough, Roman Ballard, Natasha Nadya Ballard, Henry Morris, Kaleigh Mullowney, Shannon Morris, Katelyn Mullowney, James Mullowney and Thomas Morris. Leaving behind Sister in Law, Maureen Mullowney of Plymouth, Irene Shaw of Lexington and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim will be joining his father, Henry, mother Kathryn, sister Leah, and brother Thomas (T.H.) in Heaven.

Jim was an avid golfer and sports fan. Graduating from Holy Cross College in 1961, Jim went on to serve as an Officer in the Air Force. He was member of St. Joseph's Parish Holy Name Society and Past President of the Belmont Town Club. Jim retired to Marshfield.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday April 27, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St. Rte. 139 Marshfield. Jim's family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday April 28, at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann's by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean St. Marshfield at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the Mass National Cemetery, Connery Ave, Bourne, MA. at 12:45 pm.
