Porter, James D., of Marshfield, June 25, at the age of 82. Dear father of Regina Porter and her partner Rick Topham of Marshfield, Christopher J. Porter and his wife Audrey, of Orlando Fl., Lizanne J. Rhodes and her husband Larry of Marshfield, Maura F. Porter and her husband Bill Van Riper of Weymouth. Loving grandfather of Lucas and Larissa Rhodes, Matthew and Geoffrey Porter, Colton and Hayley Porter. Brother of William Porter of Rome NY., Ruby Ferroli of IN., and the late Henry Porter and Jean Supitkowski. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim was a retired manager for Stop and Shop. Veteran U.S. Army WWII and Korea. He was a member of the National Guard and Army Reserves. After retirement from Stop and Shop he continued to work at local establishments as bartender and keno operator. For many years he operated the switchboard at a local answering service.
