Janice "Jane" Macomber Nordin Chandler born November 2, 1947 in Boston, passed away peacefully at South Shore Hospital at the age of 74.  She was predeceased by husband and best friend from the age of 14, Wendell Calvin Chandler, who died a mere 5 weeks earlier.

Jane was a devoted and loving mother to Nancy A. Powell, husband Neil H Powell III (Tod) of Marshfield, Wayne C. Chandler and wife Ellen M. Chandler of Middleboro. She leaves behind sisters Sandra O'Fihelly and husband James O'Fihelly, Pamela Lacross and husband Jerry Lacross, and the late sister Sylvia Thibodeau and husband Gerry Thibodeau, brother in-law Kenneth B. Chandler and his partner Judith MacLean. Adoring grandmother of the late Melanie J Powell, Stephen C Chandler, Caitlin E Chandler, Spencer J Powell, Olivia G Chandler. In addition, she was survived by five beautiful great grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Jane grew up in Pembroke and was a 1966 graduate of Silver Lake High School. After marriage she and Calvin made their home in Marshfield where they owned and operated Chandler's Gas Company and raised their two children.

Jane, Cal and their children spent countless weekends in Madison, New Hampshire visiting grandparents and making memories for a lifetime. She also enjoyed gardening, painting, rug making, and lovingly cared for her grandchildren.

Jane was loved by everyone that knew her, she had a strong faith and a gentle soul, always positive and she was the rock that held the family together. She will be greatly missed.

Jane will be buried in the Couch cemetery with a small private service to be held on Thursday October 13, 2022 . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana Farber.
