Jean was born on January 10, 1943, in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in West Roxbury. In 1963, she married the love of her life, Michael C. Lynch. Together they shared 62 wonderful years of marriage and raised their four children in Westwood, Massachusetts, before later making their home in Marshfield.
Jean dedicated her life to faith, family, and service to others. A devoted member of her church community, she taught CCD throughout her adult life. She was a beloved teacher's aide at the Early Childhood Center in Scituate, where she worked for more than 20 years and touched the lives of countless children, families, and colleagues with her kindness, patience, and caring spirit.
Jean embraced life with enthusiasm and joy. She was an active member of the Green Harbor Yacht Club and cherished the friendships she made there over the years. She was also known for her unwavering loyalty to the Boston Red Sox. No one was a more devoted fan.
Above all, Jean was devoted to her family. She and her husband found their greatest happiness in spending time with her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and supported wholeheartedly. Her warmth, generosity, sense of humor, and steadfast love will be remembered by all who knew her.
Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Michael C. Lynch; her daughters, Sharon Lynch, Anne Lynch and her husband, John Courtmanche, and Janet McHallam; and her son, Michael R. Lynch and his wife, Cindy Lynch. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Owen Barry, Griffin Barry, Isaac Barry, Ryan McHallam, Margaret McHallam, Bridget McHallam Catherine Lynch, and Elizabeth Lynch.
Jean's legacy of faith, love, kindness, and dedication to family will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
