Jeane Ann (O'Neil) Bowers passed into God's hands on January 26, 2023, surrounded by her family at her home in Marshfield. An exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, she was always there for friends and family. She had many dear friends, whom she treasured.

Jeane Ann was predeceased by her husband, William Bowers, Sr., and her siblings Mary (John), James (Patricia), Thomas, her brothers-in-law Bernard and John (Pauline). She is survived by her children William and Nancy of Marshfield, Robert of Quincy, Matthew and Lisa of Bedford, and Garrett and Jennifer of Westwood, as well as her loving sister Elinor Bowers of Marshfield, and sister-in-law Molly O'Neil of Natick. Mom loved being Grandmom to Billy and his wife Molly, Brian and his fiancé Samantha, Stephen, Matthew, Mark, Christopher, Tim and Nate, and she overflowed with love for her new great granddaughter, Brooklyn Grace Bowers. Her large, rollicking extended family of nieces and nephews and more always gave her great joy.

A proud Regis graduate, she was the ultimate homemaker, worked at St. Sebastian High School, and enjoyed raising a family in Needham. She loved an assortment of collie dogs over many years, lazy beach days in Green Harbor, and hosting splashy dinner parties. She reveled in family reunions (and family parties of any type!), was an avid reader, a political junkie and always had a clear opinion, which she happily shared. Mom relished monthly lunches with her Marshfield ladies. Most of all, she was a woman of deep, abiding faith, trusting in God through the best moments and the hardest times. We will sorely miss her every day, but we celebrate the new life she now enjoys with God, with Dad, and with all those loved ones who have gone before her.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Needham.
