McDermott, Jeannie of Marshfield, formerly of Hyde Park, passed away on June 20 at the age of 68. Dear sister of Peg Wood of Marshfield, Paul McDermott and his wife Betsy of Wellesley and the late Brian and Richard McDermott. Dear daughter of the late Eugene and Mary (Brophy) McDermott. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. Jeannie was born and raised in Hyde Park. She worked in Accounting for WCVB/Channel 5 for 35 years and the Town of Marshfield for 10 years. A visiting hour will be held in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Marshfield on Monday, June 29 from 9 to 10 a.m followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Jeannie's memory to the Marshfield Animal Shelter, c/o Marshfield Town Hall, 870 Moraine Street, Marshfield, MA 02050.
