Jessie F. (Shaw) Martin passed away on October 5, 2019 at the age of 86. Jessie is survived by her son, Michael (Beth) of Cypress, TX, and a granddaughter, Brandi Martin. Surviving sisters include Marion O'Handley of Dunedin, Florida and twin sister Caroline Dakin of Poughkeepsie, New York. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward Martin, and siblings Barbara, Walter, William, Margaret, and Robert.

A graduate of Bridgewater State University, Jessie made her home in Marshfield for the past 64 years. Jessie was a dedicated teacher, loving every minute of her career of 37 years. Her retirement years were filled with traveling with family and friends, and tending to the plants and flowers in her many gardens.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Ventress Memorial Library Gift Fund, 15 Library Plaza, Marshfield MA 02050.
