Jo-Ann Mary Pollock, 84, of Naples, FL formerly of Marshfield, MA passed away on April 12th, 2024. Beloved mother of Coleen Kelly and husband Gerard of Naples, FL, Theresa Doucette and husband Dennis of Ipswich, MA, Christopher Mullen of Nancy, Kentucky, the late Cornelius Mullen III and Timothy Mullen both of Marshfield, MA. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and one surviving sister, Diane Sheehan of Weymouth, MA.
Jo-Ann was born in Boston. She moved to Weymouth where she met her late husband Cornelius Mullen, Jr. They lived in Weymouth with their five children before moving to Marshfield in 1973.
Jo-Ann worked for Road to Responsibility for 34 years. She started out picking up the clients at their homes and driving them to the workshop, where they worked and then driving them home. After that position, she took a position chaperoning the clients to their activities. She ended her career with a position working in the workshop with the clients in Plymouth. She even took clients into her home and had them live with her. The clients loved her and she loved them. She enjoyed attending the dances for the clients. She loved watching them have a good time. Jo-Ann gave all of herself to the care of those very special clients.
In her spare time Jo-Ann loved to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Be it going on vacation, picking apples or blueberries, going to the beach, making Christmas cookies or just hanging out, she adored spending time with her family. In her final years, the vacation time was also spent visiting with her great-grandchildren too. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, reading and watching tv or playing games on her iPad. In her final days she watched the Hallmark Channel all the time. She always loved a good love story. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
