Duffy, Joan E. (Higgins) of Green Harbor / Marshfield May 21, 2018. Beloved wife of the late James Duffy. Loving mother of Mark Duffy and his wife Deb of N. Dighton, Moira Duffy-McGowan and her husband Jack of Marshfield, Michael Duffy of Florida, Matthew Duffy and his wife Shannon of Texas and Myles Duffy and Heather Nourse of Stoughton. Grandmother of Erin, Caryn, Bryan, Meghan and James Duffy, Elizabeth and late Michael Eiseman, Murphy and Ryanne Duffy, Regan and Luke Duffy and Cameron and Hannah Duffy. Great grandmother of Deana Sears.
Joan was raised in Needham and was a summer resident of Green Harbor until moving there permanently in 1973, She graduated from Mt. Alvernia High School and Regis College. Joan was a Substitute teacher and was a retired Realtor for Seaside Homes of Marshfield. She loved to Ski, play Golf and play Tennis. Joan was a member of the Green Harbor Yacht Club.
Visiting hours Thursday May 24, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St. Marshfield. Funeral from the Funeral Home on Friday May 25, 2018 at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church (corner of Canal and Careswell St) at 10:00 am. Interment will be in the Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline.
