Matthews, Joan (Hill) Mattson, of Pembroke, formerly of Marshfield, March 5, at the age of 74, beloved wife of Kenneth Matthews, dear mother of Deborah Spears of Michigan , Dennis Mattson and his wife Mary of Dayton, Ohio and Leslie Matthews of Plymouth. Loving grandmother of Cheryl Mattson and Kim and Eric Spears. Sister of Barbara Southard of Marshfield and the late Betty Hill. Daughter of the late Anson and Norma Hill. Joan was born in Marshfield, graduated from Marshfield High School in l952. She was a retired Rockland Trust Company employee working at various branch offices as a teller and later as a trust officer. She was a member of the Hanover Seniors Bowling League. Joan was an excellent cook and enjoyed traveling. She spent many winters in Naples, FL. Funeral from the MacDonald Funeral Home, l755 Ocean St., rte. l39, Marshfield, Tuesday at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann by The Sea Church at l0 a.m. Visiting hours Monday 4 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery, Marshfield.
