Joanne L. (Campbell) MacNevin, 82, of Pembroke, MA, passed away peacefully on September 14th, 2026 after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late William A. MacNevin, Joanne is survived by 2 sons, Stephen (wife, Jeanne) and Christopher (wife, Itta), and 3 grandsons, Ryan, Aidan, and Emerson, all of whom loved her dearly. She was predeceased by her younger brother, Allan John Campbell. Joanne is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sue Campbell, nephew John, and niece Kelsey.

Joanne was born on July 4th, 1944, to John H. and Louise M. (Wurzbacher) Campbell of Lawrence. Much of her childhood was spent in the North Andover home her father built. Following graduation from North Andover High School, she went on to attend Bates College in Maine, where she met Bill, the love of her life. They graduated together in 1965 and married that same year before returning to Massachusetts. Throughout her career, Joanne held positions in the insurance and banking industries around Boston, including several rewarding years with State Street Bank.

Joanne’s husband and family were her greatest treasures. She and Bill raised their two sons in Duxbury, creating a warm, welcoming home filled with love. After their sons were grown, Joanne and Bill moved to nearby Pembroke, where they shared another 25 happy years together and became part of a close community of friends. As a proud Nana, Joanne especially treasured time with her three grandsons, Ryan, Aidan, and Emerson.

Joanne loved spending time with her family at their lake house in Sebago, Maine. She was an enthusiastic, award-winning quilter who was always eager to begin a new project. She also found deep enjoyment and relaxation in her garden, tending to her beautiful plants and flowers.

Joanne leaves behind a legacy of memories, laughter, stories, and love. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

Family and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 9:30 to11:30 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by burial in the Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
