Joanne (JoJo) Elizabeth McConnell, 80, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023. She was born to Jules and Louise Junker on March 29, 1943, in Chestnut Hill, PA. She lived in Marshfield Hills, MA, for 55 years and split her time between Marshfield and Naples, FL for the past two decades; she loved both communities.

Joanne was the loving wife to William (Bill) McConnell Sr. for 59 years and the devoted mother to Heather K. McKenna and Bill J. McConnell, Jr., and their spouses, Kevin McKenna and Kelley McConnell. She was also the doting grandmother to her four grandchildren, Kelsey, Jacqueline, Tessa, and Shelby and dear sister of Mary Lou (Gerry) Deeney, Patricia McBride, and the late Jules Junker, Joseph Junker, and Emelya Spatola. Her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, countless close friends, and extended family will miss her dearly. Joanne was a passionate golfer at Marshfield Country Club and Bay Colony Golf Club, where she treasured her lifelong friendships. She was also an avid sports fan and world traveler.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to friends, family, and caregivers for their love, support, and assistance over the past two years.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Christine Parish Church,1295 Main St in Marshfield followed by interment in the Couch Cemetery.
