Carten, John A., of Green Harbor, Marshfield, July ll, at the age of 92, Beloved husband of the late Winifred (Holland) Carten. Dear uncle of John Carten, Rick Carten, Roger Carten, Robert Gaudet, Annon Adams and Beth Sulak. He is also survived by sister-in-law Alberta Carten. John was born in Boston. He was a retired Railway Express clerk. John was a veteran of WWII, US Army. He was a member of American Legion and Webster Grange. John was a familiar sight raising and lowering the American flag at the Marshfield Town Hall with his late wife Winifred every day. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Green Harbor, on Saturday, August l at l0 a.m. Interment at a later date at MA National Cemetery.
