White, John Chambers , of Duxbury, May l, beloved husband of Anna (Romanko)White,at the age of 78; dear father of Daniel John White of Duxbury and the late Christopher White. Brother of George, Alfred and the late Robert, Walton and a sister . Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was born in Annapolis, MD, where his father was on the staff of the Annapolis Naval Academy. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. After l0 years of service in the U.S. Navy he worked for Boston Edison until his retirement. He volunteered on the Museum ship USS Salem, a ship that he had served on, among many. A Graveside service will be held at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA. on Tuesday May 6 at 1:15 pm. Funeral arrangements by MacDonald Funeral Home 1755 Ocean St (Rte 139) Marshfield.
