Murphy, John (Jack) J., Jr., of Rome, Maine and Frost Proof, Florida, formerly of Dorchester and Braintree, passed away on February 14, 2018 at the ag of 84 in Lake Wales, Florida. Husband of the late Bette (Kimball) Murphy, son of the late John J. and Anna L. (McGlinchey) Murphy. Brother of Patricia Ryan and husband Jack of Plymouth, Jane McSweeney and the late husband Michael of Dedham, Claire White and husband John of Marshfield, the late Mary Grant and husband Joe of Salem, the late Anna Allen and husband Frank of Marshfield.  Also survived by stepsons Glen Kimball and wife Lisa of Haverhill and Brian Kimball and wife Tanya of Georgetown and grandsons Zachary and Daniel. He will also be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. After his service in the U.S. Airforce, Jack served for many years as a guidance counselor at North Quincy High School.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
