Skala, John Joseph III, "Jack", of Marshfield, passed away on March 24, 2016 at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Brigid (O'Neill) Skala. Loving son of Dorothy (Bircher) Skala and the late John Joseph Skala. Incredible father of April Skala, Adrienne Skala, and Andrea Brennan, all of Marshfield. Adoring Papa of his grandchildren Ashley and Grayson. Jack also leaves siblings Jim, Tim, Dave (late), Dick, Paulie, Carrie, MaryJane, Tom, Ben, Anina, Theresa & Matt, their spouses, many, many beloved nieces and nephews and inumerable cherished friends & colleagues.

A proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served 4 years after graduating high school, Jack was a charasmatic soul who lived his life to make others smile. All who knew him will remember a joke or two (or perhaps ten…) that he told for years to come. He certainly made a mark on this world and will be very sorely missed.

A Funeral Mass will be held on March 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield. Internment will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery at Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in his name to Saint Ann by the Sea parish in Marshfield.
