Dr. John P. McLaughlin Sr., of Marshfield, passed away on March 3 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of Therese McLaughlin. Loving father of Joanne Brennan and her husband Robert of Marshfield, Dr. Jan Marie Lundberg and her husband Lars of Tierra Verde, FL, Mary Flaherty and her husband Kevin of Lakeville, Dr. John McLaughlin and his wife Louise of Marshfield and Paul McLaughlin and his wife Renata of D.C. Loving grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 2. Dear son of the late Patrick and Bridget (Doherty) McLaughlin. Also survived by nieces and nephews. John served in the US Navy during WWII.

A visiting hour will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Tuesday, March 10 from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main St., Rte. 3A in Marshfield at 9:00 a.m. Interment will be held in the MA National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:15 a.m.
