Flagg, John N. "Jack" Jr. 72 of Marshfield passed away at home in the comfort of his family on September 27, 2015. Beloved husband of 48 years to Cheryl A. (Nangle) Flagg. Son of the late John N. Sr. and Margaret (Bernie) Flagg. Dear brother of Jean Gray and her husband William of NH and William "Bill" Flagg of Brewster. Also survived by other family members, nieces and nephews.
Jack was a lifelong resident of Marshfield and graduated from MHS class of 1960. Jack joined the Navy after high school and served on the submarine U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt. After the Navy he worked for his father at the Marshfield Sand and Gravel before starting his own construction company business John N. Flagg Jr. Inc. in Marshfield. Jack was a partner in bringing Edaville Railroad back and was the first citizen of the year in Marshfield. He had a great love for adventure and enjoyed flying his Flaggship hot air balloon, traveling the country in his motor coach and riding his Harley Davidson especially his trip out west to Pikes Peak. Jack also had a great love for Trains and the Railroad. For many years he spent his winters at River Ranch in Florida.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Thursday, October 1, from 4 to 8 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at the First Congregational Church, 1981 Ocean St, Marshfield on Friday October 2, at 11:00 am.
