John Joseph Nerino of Marshfield passed away peacefully on February 23, 2021 at the age of 82.  Beloved husband of the late Elsie Nerino.  Loving Father of Michelle Nerino-Roth and her husband Steven Roth of Marshfield, Marcus Nerino and his wife Sarah McLaren of Marshfield and Karen Nerino-Bottary and her husband Jim Bottary of Quincy.  John also leaves 8 grandchildren; Lauren Roth-Seitz, Jimmy Bottary, Jr., John Bottary, Danielle Roth, Amanda Bottary, Anna Nerino, Chloe Nerino and Sadie Nerino.

John was born in Boston and joined the Navy at an early age to see the world.  While stationed in England, he met the love of his life on a dance floor and brought her home to America.  They eventually settled in Marshfield where they raised their three children while he worked as a letter carrier until his retirement.

John spent many hours at the Marshfield Elks lodge making sure his wife and children enjoyed the family functions held by the Elks.  He was the Exalted Ruler twice and eventually became a lifetime member.

John and Elsie took many trips to visit every corner of our country bringing back memorabilia to decorate their home of 56 years.

Although we are all sad to see him leave us, he is reunited with the love of his life and this is where he has wanted to be since she left us 8 months ago.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, February 28 ^th from 1:00-4:00 at MacDonald's Funeral Home 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield, MA.  The Marshfield Elks will present a "Lodge of Sorrows" at 2:00pm and we will conclude with a funeral service at 3:30pm.
