Polutchko, John A., Jr., of Marshfield and Cocoa Beach, FL, passed away on April 16, 2016 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of the late Peggy (Waltersdorf) Polutchko. Dear father of Elaine Fagan (Michael) of Marshfield, John Polutchko of Mansfield, Kathy Nash (Michael) of Marshfield, Steven Polutchko of Broomfield, CO., and David Polutchko (Zelia) of Mansfield. John leaves 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and a brother, Robert Polutchko (Betty) of Potomac, Maryland.
John grew up in Berwick, PA. A 1955 graduate of MIT in Aeronautical Engineering, John was president of Phi Kappa Theta fraternity and played basketball. His career began at the Martin Company in Advanced Aircraft Development. He was an Air Force commissioned officer and in civilian service with USAF Systems Command. His love of anything related to flying led him to become a private pilot. He then went to work for AVCO Systems, a major aerospace and defense contractor. He finished his career as a VP at Dynatrend, now EG&G.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield.
