Skinnion, John D. of Marshfield, passed away on August 4, 2014 at the age of 87. Beloved Husband of Mary (McSharry) Skinnion. Loving father of Robert Skinnion and his wife Mary Ann of Boxford, Joanne Skinnion of Marshfield, Marie Martin and her husband Dan of Kingston and Jean Jeremiah and her husband Ricardo of Hanover. Loving grandfather of Robert, Lauren, Rachel, Danielle, Eric and Alexander. John was born and raised in Dorchester. He summered in Marshfield his entire life before moving there permanently 16 years ago. John worked for the Federal Reserve Bank and the MBTA where he retired after 25 years of service. He was a member of Union 589. John also served in the U.S. Navy. Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Friday, August 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, August 9, at 10:00 a.m. followed by the interment at Couch Cemetery off Union St. in Marshfield.
