Greene, Joseph Francis, age 88 of Marshfield, formerly of Quincy and Roxbury, suddenly on June 10, 2015. Beloved husband of 60 years to the late Jeanne F Greene, the love of his life. Loving father of Joanne Jesse of Kingston, Kathy and Paul Fanning of Hanover, Jackie Montilio of Marshfield, Joseph D. Greene and wife Dana of Londonderry, NH and Brian Greene of Roslindale. Dear grandfather of Megan and Andrew Jesse and his wife Kaitlyn, Molly and Peter Fanning, Mark, Benjamin and Michelle Montilio, Joseph and Genevieve Greene, Brianna Feman and the great grandfather of Charli Jean Jesse.

Joseph was employed by Metcalf and Eddy as a senior civil designer until his retirement. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy in World War II and the Korean War. He was Past President of the Cyril P. Morrisette Post No. 294 in Quincy, Past President of the Daniel Webster VFW Post in Marshfield and Past President of St Mary's Holy Name Society in West Quincy and was a greeter at Mass on Sunday mornings at St Christine's in Marshfield.

Joseph loved working in his yard and gardens. He was the happiest when he was with his family sharing his love with his children and grandchildren. He was an avid sports fan and faithfully followed the Patriots and Red Sox. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be on Monday June 15, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte 139, Marshfield. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday at 8:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main St., Marshfield at 9:00 AM. Interment will be in the Couch Cemetery, Marshfield.
