O'Shea (Kevin) of Hingham, Susan J. Belliveau (Gerald) of Chesapeake,VA, Joseph P. Kane (Marsha) of Plymouth, Francis X. Kane (Pamela) of Edgewater, FL, Christopher Kane (Sarah) of Lombard, IL, Jeanmarie Kanegan (Joseph) of Palo Alto, CA, Justin M. Kane (Pamela) of Stonington, CT, and Sean J. Kane (Amber) of Anthem, AZ. Loving grandfather of Ryan, Connor, Quinn, Megan, Heath, Matthew, Katie, Jackson, Autumn, Grace, Liam, Alexandra, Fallon, Ireland and Philip. Dear brother of Dorothy Clancy of Plymouth and the late James Kane, Agnes Brown and Anne Adams.
Joseph was born and raised in Roxbury. He graduated from Cathedral High School 1941. After High School Joe enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy Sea Bee's during WWII. He later attended Boston College and graduated in 1951. Joe was on the Board of Assessors in Marshfield during the 1970,s and 1980,s. He coached little league in Marshfield and taught CCD at Our Lady of the Assumption Church where he has been a parishioner for over 50 years.. Joe was an avid BC Football fan. Later in life he enjoyed his travels to Ireland with his wife.
Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Monday September 1, 2014 from 4 to 8 PM.
Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:00 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St. in Marshfield at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Couch Cemetery in Marshfield.
