Joseph M. Mason of Marshfield passed away on February 26, 2024 at the age of 70. He was the beloved husband of Kathy (Bell) Mason; loving father of Mary Hankerson and her husband Andrew and Margaret Mason; cherished grandfather of Mika Barice.

Joseph was born in Boston to the late Charles and Mary (McKenna) Mason. He enjoyed a long and successful career in the seafood industry and was well liked and respected by all who knew him.

An avid birder, Joseph with his wife Kathy traveled across the country from California, Colorado, Florida and even in Massachusetts for the chance to see birds that were not native to the area and always had binoculars in the car just in case.

We will celebrate Joseph's life with a reception this spring.
