Thibeault, Joseph R. of Marshfield, passed away on January 8 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of 63 years of Gloria (Robillard) Thibeault. Loving father of Sharon Thibeault and her husband Mark Stafford of Marshfield, Nicole Saddler and her husband Robert of Stoney Creek, Ontario and Renee Barkley and her husband Scott of San Mateo, CA. Loving grandfather of Oliver and Charlotte Stafford, Matthew Saddler and Helen and Claire Barkley. Dear brother of the late Marguerite, Paul and Roger Croteau.

Longtime resident of Marshfield, MA. Graduated from St. Jerome High School and UMass Amherst. A homerun hitting centerfielder drafted by the Brooklyn Dodgers. Served in the Navy during WWII as one of the first RADAR operators. Contracts manager for the Dept. of the Army and Raytheon Company in Andover, MA, and Paris, France, then as Operations Manager in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Over 50 year member of St. Christine's Parish and Marshfield Country Club. In earlier years he enjoyed competitive golf, tennis, softball, hunting and fishing. In later years he enjoyed time with family and friends, watching his favorite Red Sox, feeding the birds, and sharing his love of sports, nature and music with his grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held in the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Tuesday, January 13 from 4 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main St., Rte 3A in Marshfield on Wednesday, January 14 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held in Couch Cemetery in Marshfield.
