Robinson, Joyanne M. (Begel), of Marshfield, passed away on June 15, 2016 at the age of 78. She is the beloved wife of Herbert W. Robinson of Marshfield and the proud and loving mother of Kenneth Robinson and his wife Kathryn of Providence, RI. Joyanne also leaves a brother, William Begel of Alexandria, Virginia, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joy and Herb were married 56 years and have lived in Marshfield since 1972. Joy worked in administrative positions for the Federal Government for 25 years, serving in Boston, Washington DC, and Frankfurt, Germany. She retired from the U.S. Secret Service in 1996. In her retirement, Joy broadcast newspapers for the visually impaired at the Marshfield Talking Information Center.
Joy was an avid reader, and was also skilled in calligraphy and painting. She was an active tennis player and enjoyed biking and walking with her husband, Herb. A proud, sweet, kind and gentle lady, Joy had a wonderful smile and laugh, and a great sense of humor.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Interment will be in The Church of the Messiah Cemetery, Church Street, Woods Hole MA.
