Gallery, Joyce A., of Marshfield, passed away on September 20, 2016 at the age of 62. Joyce is the beloved daughter of the late Paul M. and Helen (King) Gallery; dear sister of Kathleen Downs and her husband Stephen of Marshfield and Jeanne Cook and her husband William of Manhattan, NY; loving Aunt of Paul, Stephen, and Gregory Downs and Liam Cook.

A lifelong resident of the Fieldston Beach section of Marshfield, Joyce spent her childhood years in the Saint Marks Parish neighborhood of Dorchester and was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, having attended UMass Boston. She was employed for many years as an investigative specialist for Denta Quest formerly Delta Dental.

Joyce enjoyed spending time with family and friends taking frequent walks with her dogs Madison and Bailey, stopping to chat with neighbors along the way. Joyce also enjoyed monthly luncheons with the cousins, hearing about her extended family members and the annual July 3rd cookout and fireworks at her beachside home. An avid amateur artist and sculptor, Joyce created many scenic painting of the area and sculptures of her nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 24 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield.
