Joyce G. Grandy (Fatch), age 81, an Onset and former Duxbury resident, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 21, 2023. Beloved wife of John K. Grandy, who were married for 54 years, and mother of their two children, John M. Grandy of Bedford and Michael T. Grandy of Onset.

Joyce was the daughter of Michael and Catherine Fatch of Norwood and was the older sister of Michelle Grande and Gail Chiereghio. She was a graduate of Norwood High School and worked as an editor and proofreader of textbooks for publishers throughout New England. Reading was not just her profession, but also her favorite pastime. She was a voracious reader, particularly of mystery novels. Joyce was also a lover of travel, having visited France and Italy multiple times and enjoyed cruises to both the Caribbean and Europe.

A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at Holy Family Church, 601 Tremont Street, Duxbury, MA 02332 on Wednesday, December 6th at 10:00 AM.
