Welch, Judith A., (Moruzzi), of Marshfield, passed away on January 10, 2017 at the age of 77.  Judith is the beloved wife of Daniel Welch of Marshfield and dear mother of Kathleen Welch Hudson and her husband Robert of Stoneham and the late Daniel J. Welch. Judith leaves a sister, Joan Schlatz of Bridgewater, and her grandchildren Daniel and Sara Hudson, nieces Donna Pinto of Lakeville, Patricia Schlatz of Bridgewater, nephews Thomas Schlatz of Plymouth and John Schlatz of Bridgewater.

Judy grew up in Bridgewater Massachusetts and spent many summers in Marshfield at Blackmans point.  Judy attended Laboure College where she received her degree in Nursing and a bachelor's degree from Northeastern University.  She worked for over thirty years as a Nurse at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, starting off in the Cardiac Care Unit and then as a Clinical Supervisor.  Judy lived in Marshfield for over 50 years and enjoyed giving back to the community.  She volunteered at the Marshfield Senior Center and Council on Aging for many years. Whether it was running the blood pressure clinics, assisting in the new building planning or serving lunch at the volunteer appreciation luncheon, she enjoyed her involvement at the senior center.  Judy enjoyed traveling abroad with her husband, traveling across the United States and to England, Wales, Scotland, Bermuda and Italy several times. Judy also enjoyed cooking, gardening and had a passion for art-especially watercolor painting.  She spent many hours painting with a group of friends from Duxbury.

An hour of visitation will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield and will be followed by a funeral procession from the funeral home, for a Funeral Mass to be held at 9:30 a.m. at St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean Street, Marshfield.  Burial will be in Couch Cemetery.
