Judith (Lawrence) Bates of Marshfield passed away on September 6, 2021 after a brief illness at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth M. Bates; loving Aunt of Carolyn Cesario of Florida; Great-Aunt of Megan Cesario; Judith was step-mother of Michael Bates, Heidi Bates, Robyn Bates,Tammy Green, Ivy Bruns, and the late Timothy Bates, and leaves many step-grandchildren.

Born in Boston to the late Ralph S. and Marion B. (Westerman) Lawrence, Judith was a graduate of Bentley College and a Certified Public Accountant. She worked for many years as an accountant for the Town of Scituate.
