Kelly, Julia J. (Daly), of Marshfield, passed away on January 25, 2017 at the age of 78. Julia is the beloved wife of John J. Kelly of 58 years and dear mother of Michael Kelly and his wife Jean of Hanson, Josephine Gillis and her husband Raymond of Marshfield, Eileen Bonney and her husband Christopher of Marshfield, John J. Kelly, Jr. of Marshfield, Jeremiah Kelly and Eugene Kelly, both of Dedham; grandmother of Joseph and Jill Kelly, Bridget and Michael Gillis, and Megan Bonney; sister of Eugene Daly and his wife Kathleen of Ireland.

Julia was born in Ireland, Ballyhalwick, Dunmanway, Co. Cork, Ireland.  She immigrated to Brooklyn, New York at the age of 18, met her husband and moved to Massachusetts, then moved to Marshfield in 1973 where she raised her family.  Julia's interests were tending to her flower gardens and talking to neighborhood friends.  She also liked to knit.  She enjoyed spending days at the beach with her children as they grew up.  Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and watching them grow up.  She was well known in Humarock as Ma Kelly from working many years at North River Beverage.  She devoted her life to her husband, children and grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield. Funeral procession from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 for a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. in St. Christine's Church, 1295 Main Street, Marshfield. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
