Juliette Bouchard Wade, age 80, died August 15th at her residence, Rose Court at Linden Ponds, Hingham, MA, after a long illness. Juliette was surrounded by family and attended by familiar staff members of Rose Court at the time of her passing. Juliette was born September 28, 1933, in Salem, MA. She was the only child of Helen (Fallis) Bouchard and Ludger T. Bouchard of Salem. Juliette graduated from Danvers High School in 1951, and later attended Bryant & Stratton secretarial school in Boston. In 1955, Juliette married Winthrop B. Wade (deceased) of Ipswich, MA. The couple settled in Hingham and raised three devoted daughters: Sheryl L. Wade of Marshfield, MA; Jenn Wade Baker of Weymouth, MA; and Crissy Wade Fitzpatrick of Silver Spring, MD. They divorced in 1976. Family and friends admired Juliette for her many creative talents, which included floral design. In the mid-1970s, Juliette attended Rittners School of Floral Design in Boston. She worked for a number of area florists, including Seltzer's Garden City in Newton, and became known for her bold, innovative style. Juliette also taught floral design in Quincy. She retired in the early 2000s. Juliette was an avid ballroom dancer. She was a regular at Wonderland Ballroom in Revere, and danced competitively throughout her 50s and early 60s. The rumba was her favorite. Juliette is survived by her three daughters, and daughter-in-law Sheila Corcoran; sons-in-law Will Baker, Jr. and Brendan Fitzpatrick; granddaughters Soni Baker and Ellie Fitzpatrick; and cousins Jean Thompson of Blairsville, GA and Richard Walker of St. Petersburg, FL. Juliette's family wishes to extend its gratitude to the staff of Rose Court at Linden Ponds, including Katie Fontaine, Tony Kagua, Julie Jamgochian, and the hospice team. Visitng hours will be held at MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Marshfield, MA, on Wednesday, August 20th, from 3-5pm. Funeral services will be held immediately following at 5:00 pm, also at MacDonald Funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Linden Ponds Benevolent Fund.
