McClendon, June R. (McKay), a long-time resident of Marshfield, passed away on October 27, 2017 at the Bay Path Rehabilitation Center in Duxbury. Beloved wife of the late Richard W. McClendon; loving mother of Nancy Loughran and her husband John of Marshfield, Richard McClendon and his wife Carol of Norwell, Pamela Ham and her husband David of Hingham, Cindy Smigliani and her husband Richard, Susan Noyes and her husband Stephen, and William McClendon and his wife Jennifer, all of Marshfield; dear grandmother of Tom, Lindsay, Amy, Artie, Michael, Christopher, Andrew, Katelyn, Ryan, Larry, Monica, Richard, William, Ashley, Elizabeth, Corey, Sara, the late John, and great-grandchildren Hugo, Leon, Ella and Lila.

Born in 1926 in Framingham., June was a devoted wife and mother to her husband Richard and her children She had a long and rewarding career in the retail industry, making lifelong friends. June's humor and quick wit left a lasting impression on all those she encountered. June loved food as long as she was the one doing the cooking, and could tell you the family lineage of everyone she ever met. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) Marshfield. Funeral procession from the funeral home on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street, Marshfield. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will take place at a later date.
