Kathleen A Costello lost her battle with Alzheimer's on January 5th, 2024.

Daughter of the late Paul F. and Joan E. (Curran) Sherman, Kathleen, who was better known as Kathie, grew up with her family in Pembroke where she enjoyed everything from boat trips to beach trips, and traveling to various vacation spots.

Kathie met the love of her life, Christopher Costello, in high school and they later went on to start their own family after she graduated with a degree from Westfield University. Kathie cherished her children Teddy, Kerrin, Brendan, and Amanda, and the family she and Chris built, more than anything in the world.

Kathie's smile and laughter lit up every room she walked into, and she carried herself with so much class. Even when she battled breast cancer in 2011, she held her head high and fought that battle hard. You could often find Kathie hanging with all her friends and living life to the fullest. She was one of a kind and will be missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In addition to her husband and children, Kathie leaves her brother Jon Sherman and sisters in-law Jen and Debra. She is predeceased by her brother, Jeffrey Sherman.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Angels Parish St. Mary's, 392 Hanover Street in Hanover, followed by interment in the Pembroke Center Cemetery.
