It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Kathy. Kathy passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, April 21, surrounded by her loving family.

Kathy grew up in Forest Hills with her wonderful mother, the late Ellen Dolan, and her brother, William Dolan. She is survived by her devoted husband, Hank of Marshfield, with whom she shared nearly 60 years of a beautiful marriage. She also leaves behind her loving children: Bill and his wife Ali of Hanson; Ken and his wife Kelly of Plymouth; Ed of Marshfield; and Karen Ashmont and her husband Bill of Marshfield. Kathy was a proud and devoted grandmother to her seven grandchildren—Justin, Matt, Meghan, Timmy, Chloe, Jess, and Ryann—who brought her immense joy.

Kathy also cherished her second family from Forest Hills, Jane (Gilleo) Whiton and John Gilleo. After graduating from Cathedral High School in 1961, she met her future husband, Hank. Together they began their family in Roslindale, later moving to Mattapan, and ultimately settling in Marshfield in 1976.

Kathy found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she rarely missed an opportunity to attend their games and special events. Her passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of all who loved her, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us always.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield, followed by burial in the Couch Cemetery.
