KEVIN M. BIGGINS, 58 years old of Duxbury, unexpectedly after a brief illness, passed into eternal rest on December 10, 2021. A gentle soul and devoted family man, Kevin was the cherished husband of Barbara (Doran) Biggins. Treasured father to their children: Kyle, Cole, Brianna and Christian, all of Duxbury.

Kevin was born in Dorchester to Rose (Healy) and William Biggins, who predeceased him. Predeceased also by his sisters: Fionna Zechello and Deidre Biggins. He is survived by his brothers: Stephen Biggins and his wife, Mary-Beth; Will Biggins and his wife Kellie; Brendan Biggins and his wife, Jackie. Survived also by his uncle and aunt, John and Mary Biggins of Quincy.

He will be profoundly missed by his loving extended family: Mary and Dr. Patrice Delafontaine of New Orleans, LA; Elaine and the late Thomas Hunt of Portsmouth, RI; Karen and Gary Aprahamian of Milton; Theresa and Thomas Lunny of Scituate; Kevin and Barbara Doran of Somerville. Further survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins, who will miss his quick smile, engaging wit, easygoing nature and outstanding barbeque skills.

Kevin graduated from Xaverian Brothers High School. He earned a degree in Civil Engineering at Wentworth University in Boston. He was employed with the M.B.T.A. Commuter Rail as a Senior Engineer and appreciated the friendship and respect of his colleagues. Kevin took great pride in his Irish-American heritage. He enjoyed the ocean, hunting and most outdoor activities. He was an avid runner and recently completed his first Iron Man competition. His greatest joy and contentment, however, was found in his role as husband and father.

"May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand."

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Family Parish Church, 690 Tremont Street in Duxbury.
