Kevin Held, loving father, caring friend, and proud educator passed after complications from pneumonia, he was 74.

Kevin touched the lives of his children; Alex,Kiara, Michael, Jenny, Ryan, Molly, as well as those he came in contact with through his work as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal at Stearns, Schenck, Nokomis, and Sharon High Schools. Kevin's retirement job even focused on helping young people as he helped perform military background checks for security clearances. Kevin was fiercely proud of his time in education and was a lifelong teacher, not just to his students, but to anyone he came in contact with. He enjoyed meeting up with former students, whose life's he had helped influence. He was proud to have helped shape so many lives along the way.

Kevin spent his life as the biggest kid in the room. He was always up for fun.  Whether that meant getting on the floor and playing with another kid in the room, or just recounting a funny story. Kevin was the life of the room.

Kevin's passing leaves a void for all who knew him. Be it a timely joke, a piece of trivia, or a big hug, the world is a little less bright due to his passing.

A private ceremony will be held to spread Kevin's ashes, per his final request.
