Johnson, Lance David, an automotive specialist and life-long resident of Marshfield, died unexpectedly at home on August 2, 2015 at the age of 51. Beloved husband of Deborah (Linskey) Johnson. Dear father of Valerie and Michael Howard and Stephanie Murphy, both of Marshfield. Adoring Papa of Ella Howard. Brother of K. Lee Johnson of Marshfield, Shannon Miller Larson of Texas, and Tyra Miller of Maine. Lance is survived by his father David L. and his wife Louise Johnson of Port Charlotte, Florida and Old Orchard Beach, Maine. Also by his mother Gail Hanson of Marshfield; predeceased by his stepfather Donald John Wynot. Lance is survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Lance was born in Weymouth on January 17, 1964 and attended Marshfield High School. He worked as a mechanic for Owen Motors in Dedham for 18 years until he fulfilled his life-long dream of becoming the proud owner of D&L Motorsports in Pembroke, also known as "Papa's Shop." Lance married Deborah, the love of his life, on September 20, 1997, and devoted his entire life to his wife and children. He enjoyed boating, camping, and attending NASCAR races.

Lance was a problem solver and often took on difficult and unwanted projects to help others. He was known to his family and friends as "the man who could fix anything", and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2015 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street, Marshfield with a service immediately following at 4:00 PM.
