Royer, Larry, 82 of Marshfield, passed peacefully at his home on September 5, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Quebec, Canada, the son of the late Antonio and Edna (Patrick) Royer; he is survived by his wife Teresa (Ducey) of Marshfield, his son Jeffrey Royer of Quebec, his four sisters, Doris, Pauline, Irene and Annette, all of Quebec, his devoted nephew, Alan Royer of Dedham, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his four brothers Ernest, Gerald, Raymond and Henry, and one sister, Jean ne Talbot.
Larry worked as a Tree Surgeon, Mechanic, and body repairman for Royer Tree Service in Dedham. He was known as a Jack-of-all-trades and could repair or build anything. He taught himself how to play the guitar and loved his Country music. He was an avid hockey fan, both playing the game and watching the Bruins, and also played baseball and coached women's softball. He enjoyed traveling and spent winters in Vero Beach, Florida.
Larry will always be known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was the life of the party, always making everyone laugh, telling his old stories. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Parish Church, 40 Canal Street in Marshfield. Interment will be in the Brookdale Cemetery in Dedham.
