Nichols, Lawrence A. Sr., of Duxbury, February 2, 2012 at the age of 97. Husband of the late Gertrude T. (Strachan) Nichols. Loving father of Lawrence A. Nichols Jr. and his wife Janice of Plympton. Devoted grandfather of Wayne Nichols and his wife Desiree of Wilton, NH, Terry Perron and her husband Gerald of Milford, NH, Michael Nichols and his wife Brenda of Kingston, Stacey Ellis and her husband Bryan of Plympton and the late John and Scott Nichols. Beloved brother of Franklin Nichols and his wife Jean of Hanover, Shirley McKenna of Rockland and the late Madeline Vargus. Lawrence is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Clarence and Lena Sherman. Lawrence worked as a machinist for 13 years with Thayer Scale. Prior to that he was a chicken farmer at Anderson's Poultry Farm in Norwell and Hanover. Private interment will be held at a later date.
