Leonard R. Baker, of Norfolk, passed away on October 4, 2016 at the age of 75. Leonard is the beloved father of Patricia Baker of Marshfield, Elizabeth Baker of Norfolk, Jeanine Collins and her husband Brian of Walpole, NH, and Heather St. Clair and her husband Allen of North Attleboro. Grandfather of Cody Baker, Alyssa Baker, Kaylee Bruce, Sean Thompson; Alexandra, Shayne, Madison, Zachery, Meaghan, Keziah, Nehemiah, Judah, and Bridget Collins, and Mackenzie and Courtney St. Clair; great-grandfather of Lucas and Hayden Thompson. Brother of William Baker and his wife Jean of Marshfield, Nancy Mason of Norton, Thomas Baker of Manchester, NH, and Robert Baker of Manchester, NH, Leonard also leaves many nieces and nephews.
Leonard was the first born son to Francis and Leonard Baker. He grew up in West Roxbury where he attended school. His love for the water came at an early age spending time at the Dorchester Yacht Club. He was a proud member of the Plumbers Union Local #12 where he worked for 29 years. He also enjoyed stock car racing in his early adult years at Norwood Arena. Leonard spent his summers by the ocean in Brant Rock where he enjoyed boating, fishing and scuba diving. He will be greatly missed by all of his dear friends and family.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street (Rte. 139) in Marshfield and will conclude with a Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home.
