Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda R. (Bradford) Gambell, of Marshfield MA. She passed away at The Cordwainer Assisted Living in Norwell MA after a struggle with Alzheimer's in the form of Dementia. She was 78.

She was born in Abington MA, the daughter of Ray E Bradford and Constance A Bradford.  She is survived by her daughter Kristin Gambell of Marshfield, MA, her son Ryan Gambell of Marshfield MA, brother Kenneth, sister Beverly, and brother Russell.

On the Gambell side of the family, she is survived by John & Rachel, Jim & Mary, Jeff & Corrinne Gambell, Jill & Andy Estabrooks, and their many dear nieces and one nephew.

Linda was a graduate of Abington High School, studied School Psychology at UMass Boston, and earned her Master's Degree in Education from Arkansas State University. Linda was a special needs teacher at Scituate High School and was completely dedicated to helping the lives of others, especially those with disabilities. In her retirement, she drove a bus at Judco for special needs students.

Linda had a passion for volunteering and traveled extensively doing mission work with The North River Church. She was also a very active volunteer at God's Garden and a part of the Bible study there. She participated in many singing groups and went to Russia with one. She loved planting her flowers and gardening, sailing, and her kitties. Her last cat, Gabby, was completely loyal and stayed attached to her hip at all times.

Linda believed in alternate healing methods and Angels. Her Angel, Laila, was her loyal helper until the end. Carol Meloy Stack was another one of her angels and she cared for her for several years.

Linda loved to sit on her deck and talk while enjoying the birds and critters. She meditated in her chair on the front deck and enjoyed the sun on her face while surrounded by flowers.  She loved her family and we were fortunate to spend a lot of time with her throughout the years, working in the yard and spending time with family and friends.

The family wishes to express its thanks to the many friends, family, and medical professionals who cared for her during her long illness.

The family plans a private memorial service at a time and place to be determined. This will be listed on her Facebook once it is decided.
