Linda Jane Murphy (Wood) died in her home on October 21 in Marshfield after waging a fierce battle against cancer. She was 72.

Ms. Murphy was born in Melrose to her parents, Gerald and Mildred Wood (Robinson). She graduated from Potter Academy in Sebago ME.

Ms. Murphy was a homemaker who was completely devoted to her three sons and five grandchildren.

Ms. Murphy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Brooke Murphy of Murfreesboro TN, her son and daughter-in-law Sean and Marcy Murphy of Bridgewater MA, and her son and daughter-in-law Eric and Mary Murphy of Marshfield MA.

Ms. Murphy is also survived by her five grandchildren: Sam, Adam, Margaret, Hope, and Kathleen.

A wake will take place on Thursday October 26, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at MacDonald Funeral Home in Marshfield MA.  A Funeral Service will take place on Friday October 27, 2017 at 10:00 AM also at MacDonald Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Couch Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ms. Murphy's life.
