Linda M. (Copponi) Wood passed away peacefully in her home in Plymouth on December 4, 2024. She was the beloved mother of Diane L. Kuhla (husband David) and Christine V. Wood (partner Alexandra Fasanella) of Washington, DC. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Louise J. (Baldasare) Copponi, her father, Charles A. Copponi, her brother, Charles L. Copponi, and her sister, Diane Copponi.
Linda was born on September 22, 1947 in Boston. She grew up in Hyde Park and graduated from Hyde Park High School. She was a longtime resident of Marshfield. She worked for many years as a "lunch lady" in the Marshfield public school system, where she was popular among students and staff.
Linda was loved by all who knew her. Her laughter and smile were infectious. She loved traveling to visit her daughters and brother, as well as spending time at the beach or the pool with an iced coffee. She lamented the end of summer, as cooling temperatures meant she wouldn't be able to wear flip flops anymore. She was funny, generous, and caring, and always put others before herself. She is forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
To honor Linda's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Her daughters invite you to make a donation to the charity of your choice to further bring love and joy into the world in Linda's memory.
