Lorraine J. (Menchi) Nashawaty of Pembroke passed away on June 20, 2022 at the age of 85. She was the loving mother of Gail Pretti and her husband Everett, Gary Nashawaty and his wife Kim, all of Pembroke, and the late Diane Nashawaty; and cherished grandmother of Stacey (Pretti) Turner (husband Josh), Thomas (wife Jill), Alexandria, and Christian Nashawaty. Former spouse of Thomas "Sonny" Nashawaty, she was dear sister of the late Judith A. Meloni and daughter of the late John and Alice (Pierintoni) Menchi.

Lorraine's love was her children and grandchildren. Her devotion to her late daughter "Diane" was at the core of her being. She cared for her selflessly and tirelessly. Lorraine enjoyed holidays and family gatherings, cooking and her dog "Bella". Lorraine was a dear friend to many. "Nonie" will forever be in our hearts and never forgotten.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thecla Parish Church, 145 Washington Street in Pembroke.
