Starr, Lorraine A. (Beauregard), of Groton Long Point, Connecticut, passed away on November 1, 2015 at the age of 93 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Robert H. Starr. Dear mother of Robert J. Starr of Burlington, VT, Richard Starr and his wife Diane of Plymouth, and the late Peter H. Starr. Sister of Gloria Sevigny and the late Rita, Richard, and Arthur. Lorraine leaves her large and loving family, grandchildren Ashley Starr and her husband Bill Eident, Lindsey Roberson and her husband Brian, Ryan Starr and his girlfriend Steacy Suddaby, Justina Starr and her husband Kay Kasanga, Isaac Starr and his girlfriend Megan Lizotte, and great grandchildren Autumn, Madeline, Zachary, Musa, and Aziza.

A member of the Greatest Generation, Lorraine was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II and served as a Nurse Anesthetist. She founded the Deering Nursing Home in 1954 and was a founding member of the Mass Federation of Nursing Homes. The Starr Family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham for 5 years of loving care and dedication to our dear mother.

Lorraine was a cherished member of the Groton Long Beach community as well as the Queen Anne Nursing Home. We will be holding two services to honor her life; on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Queen Ann Nursing Home, 50 Recreation Park Drive, Hingham and on Saturday, November 7, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Clark Hall, at the Groton Long Beach Casino on Beach Road, Groton CT.
